I am a structural heart nursing coordinator who has been involved in this therapy for almost 10 years. I remember when these therapies were only available on a research basis. Our team has helped treat over 2000 patients. Although stressful at times, it is truly one of the most fulfilling roles I’ve ever been involved in. My son was born with a heart defect, and that is another reason why heart condition awareness is so special to me.
